I had the opportunity to partner with JanSport. JanSport yielded their Instagram platform, on June 3, 2020, for Ryan Pascal, Dr. Nedra Tawwab, and myself to talk about ways to support the Black Lives Matter Movement and allyship practices, to date it has the most views on their IGTV channel. This was the first time JanSport's has made a public statement about race or racial injustice. With this Instagram Live, JanSport made a bold step in admitting that silence is not okay and announced actions the brand is taking to support Black lives.
The IG Live is now a permanent post on Jansport's Instagram page with close to
4,000 views.

Due to the success of the IG live, Jansport invited me back to be featured on their page, for Black Out Tuesday, July 7, 2020. They celebrated Black content creators and businesses by asking content creators to name their favorite clothing company.
I chose a body-positive clothing brand that celebrates full-figured Black women and I chose a hometown favorite brand EAT, a DC brand dedicated to giving back to the community.
Aavia is a fem-tech company that offers an app to regulate hormone health and Smart Birth Control Pill Case, proven to improve your pill taking and overall hormone health. They've been featured in Forbes Fem-Tech beat for their app launch with $2.5 million in seed money.
As a content creator and lead social media manager for Aavia I helped ideate, create, and post for their Instagram and TikTok page. As well as provide assets for their packaging and brand identity.
Since working with Aavia, I have helped craft purpose-driven influencer campaigns, strategized socials, and increased brand awareness. All possible by staying on trends, capitalizing off of the benefit of the product, and creating a sense of community!
Check out how the "Hormonal is Human" campaign made a huge impact:
-
Helped download 800+ users to the app
-
Search #Hormonalishuman on TikTok (over 1M views)
-
Grew the Instagram account by 10% in two weeks
This campaign was rooted in social impact, for every download, Aavia donated $1 to Therapy for Black Girls- We raised $2,500! Proving that Aavia believes that mental health and well-being are at the center of hormone health and also recognizing the Black girls and women have been severely disadvantaged due to a multitude of reasons.
